"Sorrentos has the best take out sandwiches in the South Bay. Try their sub or meatball sandwich. Awesome!"
- Robert G.
"I have grown up going to Sorrento's with my family! And it has only gotten better over the years! The food is absolutely delicious!...The take out side is always busy, and the dining room gets busy at night for dinner but if you want a quiet place for lunch it is perfect! Highly Reommended!!!"

"Probably my favorite pizza in San Pedro. It doesn't help that it's practically around the corner from my house!!! Besides pizza, Sorrento's has an array of wonderful sandwiches and pasta dishes. Definitely check it out if you want some reasonably priced Italian!"
- Amy C. from San Pedro, CA
"My boyfriend and I were craving pizza and ahppily stumbled upon Sorrento's after a drive over the hill from Lomita. We noticed that they were getting ready to close but they let us order take out and they were really nice about it. While we waited we played video games and got some cool little prizes from the quarter machines. After about 12 minutes, the pretty lady that worked over there gave us our pizza and it was so heavy! I was excited to get a looj at it. When we got home we opened the box and marveled at the amount of toppings. Copious amounts of good quality sausage, mushrooms and black olives. Sorrento's is definitely generous with cheese also. It tastes just as good as it looks: the crust was crispy, the ingredients were fresh and the sauce is sweet and tasty. Pizza craving satisfied. We are definitely going back."

"Awesome Italian food, but that's expected considering the town its in has the highest Italian-American population on the West coast. Everything on the menu sounds delish, they even have gnocchi with WHITE sauce, which I have had a hard time finding in the South Bay. Good family atmosphere with the banquet seating that you sink into, very comfy, very Italian."

"Whenever we move to a new area (we move every four years), we start by trying out all of the local restaurants to establish our favorites. We shouldn't have tried Sorrento's first. Everything we tried after eating their Sandwiches was just a disappointment. None of the chain shoppes can compete with their Philly Steak sandwiches. Our kids LOVE the spaghetti...the sauce is great. They never leave leftovers, and that's saying a lot because our kids are such picky eaters...
If you're in the area (or even if you're just a fanatic about good subs) you really have to try this place. This is one of the places I'll really miss when we have to move again in a few years. My husband stopped talking about the Phillie Steaks back east after we discovered Sorrentos. They're THAT good."

"This place is GOOD! I always go for the salad with their house Italian dressing then finish it off with a pepperoni pizza--extra crispy with the pepperonis on top of the cheese! Have 3 slices and I always go home satisfied~!"

"Sorrento's is fantastic.. if you've got the cheddar. The pasta is great.. hearty, big portions, cheesy and saucy....the stuffed shells are a best bet. My favorite is the tuna salad... omg. ACTUAL tuna...not mixed with mayo...topping a salad with beets, garbanzos, cheese, shredded veggies...so healthy! My only beef is that it costs upwards of 9 dollars...which I guess is to be expected for truly good food. The swordfish sandwich is another favorite.. comes with a salad...for 9bucks...huge - fill you up - and pretty wholesome."

"Have lived nearby for years & had a chance to try many menu offerings. Top favorites (besides the great take out meatball sandwiches etc:
-- The Chicken Marsala with it's rich mushroom, onion and Marsala wine sauce,w/ fresh steamed vegetables
-- The magnificent ( and low carb ) Zucchini Lasagne made with thin, wide sliced zucchini INSTEAD of noodles + great tasting cheese and sauce
-- The crisp Garlic Bread is the best I've had anywhere ( all garlic butter, no cheese, nicely toasted)
-- The large ( actually very large ) Antipasto Salad /Appetizer is beautiful to behold. Ask them to include the sweet "cherry peppers" along with the samplings of deli meats, cheeses, tomatoes, marinated mushrooms, artichoke hearts, garbanzo beans, olives and lettuce: enough to share as a first course for 4 -- good with their Italian dressing and with their rich Blue Cheese dressing.
-- Pizza, fresh out of the oven, is good by any standard.
Try it all -- you'll be back!"
